On September 24, 2022 a new world record was set in Sesimbra, Portugal.
The Portugese NGO Oceanum Liberandum made it possible to gather several hundred certified divers from all over the world to perform an unprecedented ocean cleanup.
Almost 600 divers participated in a 12-hour non-stop cleanup of the Atlantic Ocean floor, removing nearly 3500kg of garbage.
João Rainho, member of Oceanum Liberandum and brand ambassador for Vostok Europe, naturally participated in the event and also helped organize this amazing project.
Vostok Europe created a watch to honor the event and good cause by creating an 'Oceanum Liberandum' Special Edition watch that is limited to only 100 pieces worldwide. For each purchased watch Vostok Europe makes a donation to Oceanum Liberandum.
