In 2003, a small company was founded in Vilnius, Lithuania: Koliz Vostok UAB - the company behind the brand Vostok Europe (VE). And although Lithuania is not particularly famous for its watch industry and there were many obstacles, VE has always had a clear goal: to create unique and extraordinary watches. It has always been important that the watch series unite an exciting background or remarkable achievement and are built for extreme situations.
Throughout its journey, the company has remained true to itself. 20 years and dozens of model lines and designs later, to be precise, in August 2023, the company is now celebrating its 20th anniversary with a truly unique watch.
Only 200 pieces of the 'VE 20th Anniversary' Limited Edition were produced. The exceptional element of this model is the dial. It was cut from a genuine octahedrite, a nickel-iron meteorite from outer space, after it fell to Earth. The Widmanstätten pattern of the alloy is revealed through polishing and acid treatment on each individual dial. Thus, each dial becomes a unique piece.
The watch design combines a unique techno-futuristic, polygonal, anatomical case with Tritium illumination. The case consists of two metal parts fastened with two rivets. The upper ring is brushed stainless steel, and the lower one is gray PVD coated. The hands are brushed and skeletonized.
Each piece is delivered in a Vostok Europe wooden box with a glossy piano finish. This box was designed exclusively for this watch and features two levels: one for the watch and one for the included accessories. Along with an instruction manual personalized with the serial number, the set includes a certificate from the Lithuanian State Research Institute Center for Physical Sciences and Technology (FTMC) authenticating the dial's origin. A watch cleaning cloth, a tool for changing straps, and a total of 4 straps (leather, silicone red + black, stainless steel) are included to complete the set.
