General information
Slava Mir (Russ.: "Мир") used to be another line that ran production into millions. It was probably the design of the case that is obviously tonneau shaped. But depending on the point of view and the lighting the shape appears oval. The smooth curves are breached by the rectangular shapes of the indices and on the dial. It might be exactly this harmonic antagony that made this line so popular in the past.
The newly re-made Mir line builds on the former design without turning into a mass product. With a worldwide limitation of only 500 pieces these watches rely on a genuine Slava 2427 automatic movement. All 2427 movements used to be part of previous stock and had to be checked and maintained elaborately. Therefore, it is not a surprise that there is a lever for quick date correction at 2h which is typical for this movement. Slava additionally focuses on a waterproofness of 10 atm and high-alloy 316L stainless steel for the case. A sapphire coating is added on the mineral crystal to provide more durability. The circular holes in the leather strap provide an air flow to the wrist.
Each watch comes with an original pre-mounted Slava leather strap in a beautiful gift box that is covered in genuine leather.
