Ekranoplan

Ekranoplan
Although the name "Ekranoplan" (russ. экраноплан) literally means "ground effect vehicle", it's iconic for the vehicle that was developed by the Soviet Union between the years 1966 and 1980. Ekranoplan KM was the largest vehicle of its kind ever designed and able to lift more than 500 tons of weight. Due to the lack of water contact the vehicle was invisible to submarines and ships using sonic waves. And because of its low operating altitude the Ekranoplan could not be identified by radar.

Just as impressive as the "The Caspian Sea Monster" used to be, the Vostok Europe Ekranoplan line is stunning nowadays. A sophisticated design and a tough build make this line exceptional. In addition to the gaseous tritium light source (GTLS) each watch comes in a waterproof and shock resistant DryBox.
