General information
The 'Lunar Eclipse" Special Edition by Vostok Europe is inspired by the eponymous astronomical event. A lunar eclipse occurs when the Moon moves into the Earth's shadow, causing the Moon to be darkened. At least two lunar eclipses and as many as five occur every year, although total lunar eclipses are significantly less common than partial lunar eclipses. Several cultures have myths related to lunar eclipses or allude to the lunar eclipse as being a good or bad omen.
Black Aventurine (natural quartz stone), is used for the dial to create a visual effect of the starry space. Not only it's chemical composition but also its various mineral inclusions create a natural variation in each dial - making each watch appear in its own unique beauty. The matt white asymmetrical luminous ring with "Moon structure" creates visual effect of a lunar eclipse in the dark. An engraving on the case back shows different phases of the total eclipse. The case is 20 atm water proof and the case back, pushers and crown are black PVD plated in order to outline the holistic design.
Each piece comes in a beautiful Vostok Europe gift box and includes one pre-mounted leather strap.
